MUSKEGON — Summer Celebration officials reported that 13,000 people attended last night’s show with heavy-metal bands Cinderella and Jackyl. That’s the largest number so far for this year’s event.
Muskegon band Two Heded Chan opened for Jackyl.
Were those 13,000 people heavy-metal fans? Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, they got to enjoy a beautiful July night on the shores of Muskegon Lake, live music by national and not-so-national bands, and seeing people they don’t often get to see.
“It was fun!” said Cory Jennings, a self-proclaimed fan of big parties who saw Cinderella for the first time Friday night. “I’m going back for Trey Songz because you don’t get a chance to do this in Muskegon every day.”
